FlowVision Family at Loretta’s – Blog 2: Check-In Day

There’s a certain calm that settles in once you arrive and realize—you made it.

After weeks of loading, prepping, and trying to think five steps ahead, check-in day at Loretta’s gave us all a chance to exhale. We pulled into the ranch this morning from Dickson, coffee in hand, sun already pushing the heat up, and Landon in the back seat just quietly watching the fields roll by.

It’s hard to explain how it feels to come back here—not just for Landon, but for us as a family. This place holds weight. Not in a stressful way, but in a way that reminds you just how many people have put in the work to get here. It feels earned. It feels like home for moto families like ours.

The check-in process is its own kind of tradition. It’s a mix of familiar faces, new ones, and a steady flow of “hey man, good to see you again.” No matter where you’re from, once you’re at Loretta’s, there’s this shared understanding. You’re part of something. Every family has their story. Every rider has their own path that brought them here. And while it’s competitive, it’s also community.

Landon didn’t say much during check-in. He doesn’t need to. He’s been here before. He knows what’s ahead. But you can tell he’s taking it all in—the dirt, the atmosphere, the chance to just be surrounded by other kids who love this sport as much as he does. It’s energizing in a quiet, steady kind of way.

After we got everything dialed, we wandered around the ranch a bit. Watched some crews setting up, saw kids ripping around on pit bikes, and just took our time. No rush. No pressure. That’s the best part about this day—it's not about results or finishes. It's about being present. About soaking in the moment.

We headed back to Dickson that afternoon and just laid low. Grabbed dinner, shared some laughs, and talked a little about the week ahead. Nothing heavy—just taking it one day at a time. That’s how we like it.

Tomorrow is practice. A chance to feel things out and get back into race rhythm. But today was about arrival. About recognizing how far we’ve come—and being thankful we get to do it together.

We’ll see you out there.
