FlowVision Family Road to Loretta Lynn’s – The McBride Journey

There’s something special about hitting the road in a packed moto van, driving across the country with your kid’s dreams riding in the back. It’s chaotic, it’s dusty, it’s loud—but it’s ours. And it’s all part of the journey to Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National, a race we’ve had circled on the calendar for a long time.

I’m Nick McBride—husband, dad, mechanic, cook, gear hauler, and full-time hype man when race week hits. Our son, Landon, has been working harder than ever for this moment, and to see his name on that gate, at the biggest amateur motocross event in the country, makes every late night at the track and every early-morning training session completely worth it.

We loaded up the FlowVision moto van, double-checked the gear, tied down the bikes, and headed out from California to Tennessee. There’s a different kind of excitement that builds when you’re chasing a goal like this. Every mile gets you closer to something bigger than racing—it’s about testing yourself, your family, and your heart.

We’re not camping this year—we’re staying in Dickson, just outside the ranch. It's nice to have a little space to decompress after long, hot days at the track. It gives us a chance to wash the gear, grab a real meal, and talk about everything that went down without the noise of generators and pit bikes buzzing in the background. It’s our reset button before the next moto.

Pulling into Loretta Lynn’s Ranch is like arriving at motocross Mecca. You feel the energy before you even park. The banners, the red clay, the history—it hits you fast. Every rider there is fast. Every family is committed. And every moment counts.

For us, this week isn’t just about chasing trophies. It’s about growth. It’s about showing Landon what dedication looks like when it all comes together. It’s about lining up with the best in the country and still having the confidence to send it. And it’s about family—because we’re in this together, win or lose.

Repping FlowVision out here means more than just having top-tier gear. It’s about being part of something bigger. We’ve seen more and more riders in FlowVision goggles, and every time we see one, it reminds us of the community we’re proud to be part of—one built on clarity, confidence, and commitment.

If you’re a moto family grinding through qualifiers, dreaming of that shot at Loretta’s—keep going. Keep chasing it. Keep showing up, doing the work, and believing in your rider. Because when the gate drops, and you watch your kid blast into that first turn in front of the whole motocross world—it’s unforgettable.

See you at the races.
