Bubba Pauli #282
Qualifying Position: 34th
After a week of rest Bubba Pauli was ready to for A2. The day started off with some more challenges as a mechanical malfunction was to be handled after the first session on track. Fortunately thanks to our crew chief, Jake Price, the 282 machine was dialed in when the most important part of qualifying came. After securing the 34th position is qualifying, Pauli would line up for 450SX Heat 1. As battles raged across the Anaheim track Pauli finished the Heat in 15th place. The LCQ was set and the field was deep! Unfortunately a rider misjudgment at the gate left Pauli dead last leaving the grid. Putting the mistake behind him, Bubba dug deep and fought his way up to the 11th place position where he would end his night.
Joan Cros #848
Qualifying Position: 25th
It was another fun day in Anaheim for Joan. Cros believed this was the best track of the season thus far. It was also his best overall qualifying position of 25th. Joan was feeling competitive going into the heat race. A very inside gate set him up for the tight corner but unfortunately a slightly slower start had him pinched off before the turn. In the LCQ, Cros had a good start and stayed to the inside. He rode well the entire race but came up short with a 7th place. He is looking forward to the bigger track in Glendale. With the first Triple Crown race, it will require another good qualifying session.
