FlowVision's JACOB ARGUBRIGHT TAKES 3RD OVERALL AT AMA NATIONAL HARE AND HOUND

September 27th, 2020Offroad Support/TBT rider Jacob Argubright lined up for round five of the AMA National Hare and Hound Championship series in Jericho, Utah for the 80-mile natural terrain off-road race hosted by Sage Riders MC. Following his return to the podium at round four in Nevada, Argubright came in with confidence to repeat his performance.

The one-day event on Saturday saw moderate temperatures and a light breeze to help with the drier than normal conditions. Lining up on the FMF Start Line, Argubright carefully chose his line that would hopefully lead him to the end of the bomb with a favorable position. As the banner dropped, Argubright quickly lit his KX 450F and sprinted towards the famous sand dunes that would lead into the start of the race course.

Coming to the end of the bomb in 4th place, Argubright settled into the pace. Over the next 40-miles, he made the move to position himself in third early on. The more technical than usual terrain suited Argubright’s skill level as he continued to close the gap on second place (David Kamo). A mistake in reading the terrain cost Argubright valuable time in his hunt for Kamo but was able to get back on track coming into the pits.

The top three charged onto Loop 2, where Argubright put his head down and focused on his own race. This proved successful as he closed up the gap over the final 40-miles. As the checkered flag flew, Argubright crossed the finish line in third overall, just :08 behind Kamo. ““It was a great day of racing, and felt good to be back racing in Southern Utah. I really love the start and sand dunes here, and appreciated the more technical first loop. I tried my absolute best to catch Kamo today, and a slight mistake in reading the course markings cost me valuable time. It was a close race for him and I today, which makes for a really fun day of racing. I’m looking forward to the final two rounds and finishing out the season in good spirits,” Argubright stated.

Argubright currently sits 7th in points, and will head to Lovelock, NV for round six on October 10th/11th
