Lake Elsinore, CA- Chidester Transport Racing’s Jacob Argubright spent his weekend between National Hare & Hound events with the District 37 community for the So Cal Motorcycle Club Desert Scramble in Lucerne Valley, California. An 84-mile (42-miles twice) course consisting of traditional southern California desert terrain awaited racers.
In start by class format, where racers would begin in groups of two every 15-seconds, Argubright got the jump and began his hunt for the overall physical lead. By the end of loop 1, coming into the pits with the lead, Argubright quickly refueled and took off on his second 42-mile lap. Throughout the second loop,he continued to build his gap from second place. Coming into the finish by nearly 3-minutes ahead, Argubright concluded the race on the top spot of the podium.
This coming weekend, Argubright will head back to the state of Utah for round five of the AMA KENDA/SRT National Hare & Hound series, where he will look to redeem himself after round four just last weekend.
Argubright- “It felt really good to race in what I consider my backyard; Lucerne has a special place in my heart. So Cal MC and District 37 did a great job hosting the even; putting forth a really solid, true desert course. I felt really good today, and will use this confidence heading into the National this weekend.”
