Landon McBride Battles Through the Loretta Lynn’s Southwest Regional at Fox Raceway....

This past weekend, Landon McBride lined up at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, for the Loretta Lynn’s Southwest Regional — one of the toughest steps on the road to the Ranch.

Regional races are no joke. Every kid there is fast. Every gate is stacked. Every moto matters. For Landon, the weekend had a little bit of everything — bad starts, great starts, crashes, hard charges, and a whole lot of heart.

In the 85cc (10-12) class, Landon came away with a 9th overall, going 11th and 7th in the motos. In the 85cc (10-12) Limited class, he finished 11th overall, with moto scores of 13th and 7th.

But the results sheet only tells part of the story.

In the first moto, Landon got buried off the start and came around nearly dead last. At a race like this, that can ruin your whole weekend if you let it. But he put his head down, kept pushing, and charged all the way back to 11th. That kind of ride shows grit. It shows he didn’t quit when things started rough.

In the second moto, he finally got the start he needed and was running up front in 5th. Unfortunately, a crash knocked him back, and he had to regroup and fight his way to the finish, ending up 13th. It was one of those motos where the speed was there, the start was there, but one mistake changed the result.

On day two, Landon came out swinging. He nailed great starts in both motos, rode strong, and finished 7th in both races. That was a big step forward and a solid way to close out the weekend.

As a family, we know weekends like this are part of the process. You want everything to go perfect, but racing doesn’t work that way. You get tested. You get knocked down. You have to learn fast and come back stronger the next time the gate drops.

We’re proud of Landon for the fight he showed all weekend. The speed is there. The starts are getting better. The effort is there every single time he lines up.

Now it’s back to work.

Huge thank you to everyone who supports Landon, our family, and FlowVision. These weekends take a lot — time, travel, money, sacrifice, and help from the people around us. We don’t take any of it for granted.

The road to Loretta’s is tough, but that’s what makes it mean something.

See Clear. Ride Hard.
